I recently came across this really interesting project called Animation Tag Attack.

Animation Tag Attack is a collaborative animation project featuring work from Christen Bach, Mads Juul, Andreas Normand Grøntved, Ned Wenlock, Oren Mashkovski, Maxwell A. Oginni,

This is how it works..

“Each participant gets 4 weeks to produce between 5 and xx seconds of film. When the time is up, the clip gets uploaded to the blog and the next one in line takes over. It is up to each individual creator to pick the style and media they want to work in - and to decide how they think the story should evolve.”

The combined episodes are a real feast for the eyes with all those beautiful and varying aesthetics, I’m also loving how all the different styles work together creating a coherent and captivating story!

Vera aka wymmin’s final is a short film directed by fellow Fish and Chips Twice Please?! cotributor Margarita Louca. Featuring a kitted balaclava by Piers Atkinson and Music by Wetdog, the film is a visual feast (almost literally), with layers of texture and beautiful cinematography which makes you want to reach out and start mashing some cake!

Vera aka wymmin’s final is currently screening at the MuseumsQuartier Freiraum space in Vienna until September 12th.

Back in January I submitted an illustrated envelope to a mail art project by Darren Di Leto called Mail Me Art. Mail Me Art held an open submission gaining a massive response from a wide range of talented illustrators and artists from across the globe!

The exhibition opens along with the the book launch on the 30th July at the Red Gate Gallery in London and runs until the 5th of August.

This short animation was produced for Fish and Chips Twice Please?!

Curated by Emma Bell and Polona Dolzan, Fish and Chips Twice Please?! is a contemporary fashion exhibition showcasing British talent. The exhibition aims to present Britain as an international hub for fashion and features garments from British designers alongside work from a number of contributors of varying disciplines including; film, photography, styling, illustration and animation.

Inspired by the very British title and theme, my contribution is a short animated film which explores the visual references, shapes and textures of the British seaside resort Blackpool.
